Anonymous asked: Your work is amazing dude ! You make me inspired !

Thank you, Anonymous!

My first blog post for the year. This tumblr has been collecting some dust lately and I apologize to all who have visited regularly to not see anything new being thrown up. I recently took two months off from shooting to focus on enjoying the holiday period and head into February with a clear head, ready to work…

At the start of last month I shot a fun concept for Natalie Dowell Make-Up to be used as promo material for her range of skills. It was great to work with Morgan Johnsen from Dallys Models again and we got some great results. Check them out!
Following this I photographed an article for Get It Magazine featured Ryal Harris and his lovely partner as part of their label - Strife Clothing. Below is a tearsheet from the magazine.
Also going into this month some of my pictures were used for an article featuring my good friend and local design sensation Kathryn Edmonds in the March issue of SHE magazine. These were originally photographed as part of Kathryn’s Dae Dreamer label but they look great in print!

I normally try to not post too much writing on this blog but I had to share this;

“Forget about the profession of being a photographer. First be a photographer and maybe the profession will come after. Don’t be in a rush to pay your rent with your camera. Jimi Hendrix didn’t decide on the career of professional musician before he learned to play guitar. No, he loved music and created something beautiful and that THEN became a profession. Larry Towell, for instance, was not a “professional” photographer until he was already a “famous” photographer. Make the pictures you feel compelled to make and perhaps that will lead to a career. But if you try to make the career first, you will just make shitty pictures that you don’t care about.”

Amen!

This blog hasn’t been shown some love in a while and I apologize. Lately things have been quiet busy for me and I haven’t really had much time to spend on online promotion, blogging or updating my website. I have been focusing on personal projects quiet a bit to wrap up the year on a high of inspiration which hopefully can carry itself into the start of next year!

Anyway, enough of me blabbering. Here are a couple of shots for the upcoming launch of Daedreamer’s spring/summer line. Daedreamer is the brain child of a very good friend of mine who has helped me tremendously and I wish her all the best with her new label! For details of the launch please look up Daedreamer on facebook or visit this short article on the myGC website.

Also I recently had the pleasure of photographing a section of the national T.V commercial for Syn-Tec Nutrition, which is a client regular readers will be pretty familiar with. It is always nice getting the call to have the opportunity to shoot something for Syn-Tec. Keep an eye out on the Syn-Tec website for an online version of the commercial.

The new issue of mylookbook.com.au’s popular online magazine is now out. I recently shot the Spring Beauty look for the magazine and had the pleasure of being interviewed for the blog. Check it out!
